Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in earning academic credit for your prior learning experiences. Prior learning refers to knowledge, skills, or competencies that you have acquired outside of the traditional classroom setting, such as through work experience, license/certificates, volunteer work, or other non-academic learning opportunities.

The Prior College-Level Learning Assessment process is currently in the development stages, and we are working to establish a formalized accessible system to assess and grant credit for applicable prior learning experiences. Please complete the form to express your interest in pursuing credit for your prior learning. Once the Prior College-Level Learning Assessment process is implemented, we will reach out to you with the next steps to have your experiences assessed.

Students wishing to receive credit through CLEP or self-paced distance learning courses (Sophia, Straighterline, etc.) should fill out the Prior Approval for Transfer Credit Request form.
