Request for Exception to Residence Requirement for Graduation with Honors
Honors Residence Criteria: For graduation with honors, students must have completed a minimum of 56 credits in courses for which they registered at this University, including a minimum of 40 University at Albany credits graded on the A-E basis.

INSTRUCTIONS: Complete and submit the following form. You will be notified by email of the Committee on Academic Standing’s decision.

The Committee on Academic Standing only reviews petitions during the fall and spring semesters. No exceptions to the deadlines.

If you expect to graduate in Fall or Winter, the petition must be submitted no later than December 1.

If you expect to graduate in Spring or Summer, the petition must be submitted no later than May 1.

NOTE: The GPA requirement is not waived under any circumstances.
