    • Registration Protocol:

It is the responsibility of the lead chaperoning teacher to register all attendees (including teachers, presenters, and observers) from their respective school. The school understands the costs associated with attending the Symposium and acknowledges payment will be made. Student attendees must have parental and school permission to attend the Symposium. Student attendees must complete the Permission Form.

    • Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy:

An invoice will be generated for each school based on the number of attendees registered. Seven calendar days prior to the event (April 9, 2027), the attendee count is considered final, and the school will be liable for registration fees for that quantity. No refunds, credits, or reductions in registration fees will be granted for cancellations, no-shows, or reduced attendance occurring within seven days of the event. If attendees are responsible for their own registration fee, the same policy applies. Schools are welcome to substitute attendees without penalty, provided they send updated attendee information to the event organizers before the event. If the attendee registration quantity decreases more than seven days prior to the event, the school may request a revised invoice. If the full invoice has already been paid, the school may request a refund, and go through the refund request process, as long as the change occurs before the cancellation deadline (April 9, 2027).

    • Rules of Conduct:

Each attendee is expected to abide by the following:

      • Attendees are expected to be respectful of their peers, speakers, and other attendees, at this formal, educational event.
      • Should disruptive behavior arise, chaperones must address such disruptive conduct in the groups for which they are responsible. University staff will not be able to address disruptive behavior of attendees other than University attendees.
      • The University reserves the right to dismiss any attendee from the Symposium as necessary to continue the event.
        • Lead chaperones are responsible for arranging transportation of a dismissed attendee in their group.
      • The use or possession of alcohol, drugs or hallucinogens, in any form, will result in immediate dismissal of the attendee.
      • Student attendees must be chaperoned for the entire symposium by a teacher or other chaperone associated with their group.
      • Parents are welcome to attend, but may not serve as lead chaperone in charge of a group.

    • The high school principal will receive a copy of the registration and a request to confirm registration and payment. This must be completed for the registration to be confirmed.
