2027 Bertha Brimmer Medal
Purpose:
The Bertha Brimmer Medal celebrates excellence in teaching. It was founded by the Class of 1934 and is named for a Class of 1900 graduate known for her devotion to teaching and service to the University.
Criteria:
1.Nominee must be a graduate of the University at Albany.
2.Nominee must be a current or retired teacher.
3.Nominee must exhibit excellence in teaching K-12 and dedication to his/her profession.
4.Nominee may not be a current member of the UAlbany Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Your Nomination:
In your nomination, please address the items listed below. Any additional information or documentation you would like to send to support your nomination is welcome, e.g., articles, biographical sketches, resumes, etc.

3.Current and past teaching positions. Include job title, locale, responsibilities, activities/ projects, andother related accomplishments and contributions. You may also include recognition or honorsreceived and professional affiliations. Please include dates where possible.

4.Description of the nominee’s character and commitment as it relates to this award.

6.Nominators are strongly encouraged to seek other individuals to write letters in support of theirnomination. A minimum of two letters of support is recommended. Your nomination letter should beno longer than two pages, single spaced.
