Step 2: Choose your concentration
How We Match You to a Field Site
Every effort will be made to consider your interests while matching you to a field site. Some students choose to use this field practicum as an opportunity to expose themselves to new experiences, while others will seek to hone skills in an existing area of practice. Reflect on both strengths and gaps in your learning, along with opportunities that align with your career goals. A broad range of interests may increase the likelihood that you will be matched to a quality field practicum that will complement your career goals.

Request for Disability Accommodations in Field
To request accommodations in field due to a disability, you must make a formal request by contacting the University at Albany Disability Access and Inclusion Student Services (DAISS) at (518) 442-5501 or daiss@albany.edu to schedule a meeting. The Field Office will only consider a request for accommodation in field due to a disability after receiving an official letter from DAISS. Upon receipt of such letter, the Field Office will evaluate whether or not the requested accommodations can be facilitated while maintaining the essential requirements of the field practicum course; student, field agency, and/or DAISS staff may be involved in this decision-making process. The Field Office will provide formal notification of its final decision regarding the request for accommodations in field.
Is there anything else you hope that we consider when developing your practicum, if possible?
